Sénmi
The café is situated in a vintage Japanese-style street house in Taichung, originally designed in the 1970s by Mr. Yen Shui-Long, revered as the "The Father of Modern Taiwanese Crafts," in the Zhongshan District. Combining his background of studying in Japan and France, the architectural space features numerous semicircular arched windows, creating a unique charm through the interplay of light and shadow. Decades later, Sénmi cafe retains the original architectural charm of the building while infusing it with new vitality.
We extend our design from the unique arched windows of the space. Collaborating with artist, logo intertwines warm handwritten fonts with the rustic texture of paper to embody the brand's essence. Our menu further enhances this tactile experience by utilizing three types of Japanese paper, layered and torn by hand. Through these carefully crafted design details, we aim to convey a warmer, more natural ambiance that resonates throughout the space.
